From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on 09-16-96 at 1620 MST a rockwell 690-B jet prop owned by timberline aviation, piloted by gordon bryan took off from Salt Lake City I.a.p. the gear was retracted, and the three green gear down lights extinguised. The gear un-safe light "red" illuminated and stayed on. A visual check out the windows verified the main gear was up and locked. The landing gear was lowered and raised again with the same results. The pilot reported the situation to the tower and returned to the airport. The aircraft was taken to an FBO "keystone aviation" where it was jacked and cycled no less than five (5) times. The discrepancy was not duplicated. The aircraft flew to grand junction, CO. With no further problems. The pilot holds an ATP license. This is a final report.
