What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Narrative: pilot stated that aircraft veered off runway to the left on landing. Aircraft sustained minor damage; flight crew was not injured. Inspection of aircraft revealed that the nose gear strut lost its air charge. As a result, when the landing gear was placed in the down and locked position the nose gear wheel assembly did not align with the direction of flight. This is due to the fact that the strut assy must have an adequate air charge to extend and center the wheel assy. Submission of this report completes this investigation.
