From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot stated that he made a visual approach to runway 21 at Spokane International Airport on 11/15/96 at approximately 1215Z. Pilot stated the weather was about 2,500 overcast, with 6+ miles visibility. Pilot stated that he made a normal landing with a normal rollout and prepared to clear the runway at intersection "foxtrot" (f). Pilot stated that he began the turn where he thought the taxiway was, and then realized that he turned prematurely. As he turned away from the runway edge the left propeller struck a runway light, damaging the light and all three blades of the left engine. Power during this taxi event was near idle. Pilot then proceeded to parking, noted the discrepancy in the aircraft log, and secured the aircraft. Pilot then notified the tower, and his company (ameriflight).
