From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Began go around after porpoising landing with carb heat on. Lost control veered into snowbank off edge runway. (-23) the pilot reported that the aircraft started to skip on the runway during extended take-offs and landings with the carburetor heat selected in the "on" position. The pilot added full throttle (with carb heat on) in an attempt to execute a soft-field take-off when he realized the aircraft was veering toward the left on the runway. The left main gear and nose wheel impacted the snowbank on left side of runway and the aircraft was flipped (upside down) over onto its back.
