From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: nose gear would not extend upon approach to pbi. PIC made several attempts to lower nose gear to no avail. PIC attempted to "bounce" aircraft to dislodge nose gear, but struck prop on runway, forcing a landing with the nose gear up, and causing minor damage to the aircraft. Investigation disclosed p/n 1270034-1 safety switch was defective, compounded by a low-charge in the nose strut. This combination allowed the nose gear to retract and be positioned out of sequence with the nose door actuator arm. This arm prevented the gear from lowering. An m & d report was filed on this condition.
