From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot stated: when taxiing in to gate E-9 at Pittsburgh, he was taxiing the aircraft between parked DO-328 and a truck. He thought he was clear at the DO-328, when the left wing struck the tail of the DO-328. Taxi-speed was minimal. The marshaller was waiting at gate E-9 and was giving no signals. Investigation of this incident showed that a cluttered ramp existed in the area of and approaching gate E-9. This office will be in communication with the airport operations office in Pittsburgh so that the problem (with clutter) can be solved/improved. Submission of this report closes this incident.
