From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot stated that after he made a moderately hard landing, the left main gear tire blew out. The aircraft then veered off into the westside infield and continued on for several hundred feet. The aircraft suffered damage to the left main landing gear and left flap. The aircraft also hit a runway light. Marks on the runway pavement and rocks kicked up onto the runway would indicate that the aircraft landed just short of the runway and suffered left main damage at that point. No pilot deviation. No 8020-11 generated. A copy of this report was supplied to san jose FSDO operation unit. This terminates the investigation and this report is closed.
