From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: interview with fed ex ramp agent henry neil revealed that flight 615, B-727, landed r/w 10L, where upon the aircraft taxied to the incorrect cargo ramp. The captain made a 180 degree turn to correct his mistake to relocate to the adjacent ramp. The exhaust from the engines were such that a wiggins airways (dba fed ex cargo) aircraft was damaged. The aircraft, a C-208B (N757FX), will have to have its rudder and elevators replaced to be returned to flying service. The interview was later corroborated by statements taken from the ramp agent and wiggins pilot and, then, subsequent review of pit ATCT tapes. privacy data omitted
