From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on takeoff from fll after passing through 500' captain and first officer observed smoke coming from under the first officers instrument panel. Pilot turned off env. System and smoke/fumes dissipated. Aircraft landed safely and pass. Were evacuated with no injuries. Troubleshooting revealed maintenance had installed a new air cycle machine the night prior to this flight and the preservative oil and condensation caused the smoke/fumes. None of the nine areas of responsibilities were involved due to the nature of the air cycle machine having preservative oil in it and condensation causing what appeared to be smoke and fumes.
