From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Low on final struck snowbank short of runway threshold post private flight test was remedial action. (.4)the solo student pilot said he did not see the snowbank at the approach end of the runway on which he planned a landing due to the snowbank blending to the snow covered surface area. Impact marks indicate that the landing gear of the accident airplane impacted the 3' high snowbank prior to impacting the runway. (-23) during approach to runway, the student pilot struck a snow bank near the threshold. Snow was plowed off the runway and left as a two-foot obstruction near the threshold. The ground was reported as too soft for the plow to remove the snow any further.
