Student bounced landing CFI took over. Began go around climbed over trees dumped flaps. Settled into trees.(.4) during a go-around, following a bounced landing, the airplane impacted trees approximately 1/2 mile from the departure end of the runway. According to the student, he and the instructor were practicing touch and go landings on runway 22. Following the student's bounced landing, the instructor took control and executed a go-around. The student reported that after the airplane climbed above the trees off the end of the runway, the instructor retracted the flaps, and the airplane sank into the trees. According to the instructor, he was unable to maintain altitude 'due to mechanical turbulence above the trees'. The instructor reported that the winds were variable but predominantly from the south. Reported winds at tulsa, 13NM west of the accident site, were from 120 degrees at 5 knots. (-23) the instructor and student were practicing touch and goes at sam Riggs airpark on may 28, 1998. At approximately 1200 CDT, the student made a long bounced landing and elected to go around. The student deselected carbu retor heat and increased throttle to full power. The instructor then took control of the aircraft and selected flaps from the full down position to the full up position. The aircraft settled into trees with the stall warning sounding just prior to impact. There was no automatic activation of the ELT nor any post impact fire. The student stated that he had to shut down the engine prior to exiting the aircraft.

THE STUDENT REPORTED THAT AFTER THE AIRPLANE CLIMBED ABOVE THE TREES OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY,THE INSTRUCTOR RETRACTED THE FLAPS, AND THE AIRPLANE SANK INTO THE TREES.
