The bolt hole on the axle for the missing safety bolt showed no signs of any damage. The sheared safety bolt remained on the axle. The anti-skid transducer was still in place, no indication of damage. Until we find the lock nut and wheel spacer we could probably make a positive determination of the installation of the tire. privacy data omitted The combination of the hard landing and improper installation of the tire may have caused the tire to come off on landing. The mechanics for emery air her e in Seattle will perform a hard landing inspection of the aircraft and replace the left hand main landing gear bogie assy. I will wait for copies of the aircraft maint. Logs from you as we spoke of during our conversation. If you need any more information regarding this incident feel free to call me.
