What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Pilot reported that during a spraying operation the engine began to run rough resulting in low power and backfire. The pilot started to return to the airport and realized the aircraft would not make it. The remaining load was dumped and an emergency landing was made in a nearby field. On landing roll out, the aircraft went over a road and a ditch and slowly flipped over. The pilot was not injured and damage to the aircraft was limited to the propeller and minor skin damage. Inspection of the engine showed a failure of one cylinder exhaust valve rocker arm.
