From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(.4) The airplane came in low during final approach to landing. The left main landing gear impacted hay bundles and separated from the airplane. The airplane landed on the runway and during rollout, skidded for approximately 200 to 300 ft. the left wing contacted the ground and the airplane veered to the left into the grass, then collided with a ditch. (-23) the pilot reported that while on approach to runway 26 he was too high and did a go around. On second approach he was too low and the left main gear struck a bale of hay aproximately eighty feet short of the runway. The left main gear was torn from the aircraft. During touchdown the aircraft veered left unto the grass causing damage to horizontal stabilizer and elevator.
