From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On November 7, 1999, a Cessna CE-150-H, s/n 15068997, N23505, piloted by Mr. Andrew macqueen, experienced the loss of power while departing Michael airfield (NY10) on runway 28. The aircraft made an emergency landing just west of Michael airfield. The crash, fire and rescue responded from the local fire department. The aircraft struck a large rock when it landed and the right landing gear strut broke free of the aircraft.
