From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 12-24-99, midwest express flight 80, a MD-80, N809ME returned to mci due to a pressurization problem. The aircraft landed safely. Midwest express maintenance found a loose and leaking clamp at the right hand water separator temp control valve forward duct. The left hand pack had been deferred due to a temp control problem. Between the leaking duct and the deferred pack the aircraft could not maintain enough air flow to pressurize the aircraft. The clamp was tightened and the aircraft was dispatched without further incident. This incident, CE2000IAC013, is considered closed with the filing of this report. Ref ptrs: CE2000B0236.
