From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Crew was on descent into teterboro with the autopilot on, when an uncommanded roll to the right was encountered. The right trim went full up and the left trim went to full down. Both pilots had to fly the a/c to keep it straight and level. Crew diverted to ewr due to the longer runway. The trim switch would not operate the trim system. After the a/c was on the ground about an hour, this inspector observed the trim system operate as designed. This system has a fault, in the relay, for the flight control data card.
