From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Flight from winslow, AZ to needles, CA. At sedona, AZ, @ 11,000', aircraft encountered icing conditions. The flight was diverted to Prescott, AZ where the pilot received a clearance for an instrument approach. At 9,000 over the drake VOR the pilot "broke out" of IMC and proceeded to the figlo visually. On short final, at 30'-50' AGL, the pilot experienced windshear and landed hard on the runway. This damaged the main and nose landing gear and allowing the propeller to strike the ground.
