From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Wichita air traffic control requested pilot to descend and to keep his speed up. In order to comply, pilot had to make an aggressive power reduction. Power and temperature indications were normal. When pilot added power on final, there was no response from either engine, possibly due to fuel rich condition. While on final to ry 19L, pilot advised the Wichita local controller that he had lost power. To avoid the approach lights, pilot elected to land in the grass north and slightly east of ry 19L. After landing with no damage, the aircraft was able to taxi under its own power.
