From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Operating on a part 91 pleasure flight from Mexico, the PIC was cleared for landing at San Diego Brown field airport (ksdm). Upon landing, the aircraft settled onto the runway surface with the landing gear retracted. The propeller struck the runway surface several times at low power, and the aircraft slid approximately 200 yards to a stop on the runway centerline. Damage was note on the propeller, nose landing gear doors, lower fuselage surface and wing flaps. There were no injuries to the sole occupant. Post incident inspection found the landing gear handle in the "up" position. PIC indicated that he did not reposition controls prior to exiting the a/c.
