From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After aircraft arrived at the gate flight attendent attempted to open passenger door but could not. After several attempts by the crew from the outside it was decided to exit the passengers through the rear emergency exit and the aft cargo compartment. This was accomplished once the baggage was removed from the exit in the baggage compartment. After a couple of attempts maintenance was able to release and open the door. The investigation revealed that the right hand cam block p/n 14152018-159 may have been worn beyond limits causing the door latch not to work properly. The investigation continues.

As the FAA filed it
