From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) American airlines, flight #2069, registration N1460, F-28 Fokker, flight plan cvg-dfw, diverted into mem, declaring an emergency. The number one engine had a loss of fuel and odors were in the cabin. Aircraft landed runway 18L and an emergency evacuation was performed. All four over-wing hatches and the two forward doors were utilized. The escape slides on the forward doors were activated. No serious injuries to the 68 people onboard. One female passenger sustained leg burns/abrasions from nylon/slide contact. It is not know as to time taken to conduct exit, nor which exits were considered primary. Contract maintenance at mem (globe) discovered the boss line to the fuel governor loose, both retaining bolts were finger loose and not safetied. This appears to be the cause of the leak at this time.
