The aircraft appears to have impacted a tree trunk approximately 5 inches in diameter. The left wing was torn off the fuselage and landed approximately 20 feet above the ground in an adjacent tree. The aircraft continued forward approximately 20 feet and impacted the ground. A narrow path of destruction on the ground indicates the aircraft impacted the ground on its nose bounced approximately 10 feet and landed upside down with the right wing still intact. One fatality.
