From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) It appears that the subject aircraft operated by Mr. Swift attempted a short field takeoff from the taxiway adjacent and perpendicular to the north/south runway identified as Earle airport, Hastings, FL. It appears that N817T became airborne prior to crossing the runway and continued climbing until the aircraft was observed in a steep angle of bank to the left or southbound. At this time the aircraft appeared to stall and begin to rotate to the left and lose altitude striking the ground in a 45 nose down attitude finally coming to rest in thick low under brush.
