From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The PIC stated that she attempted to land the airplane and "as close as possible to the numbers". When she flared to land the airplane impacted the ground about 30 feet before and about 4 feet below the runway. The aircraft became airborne for about 60 feet and hit a second time and skidded, upright, about 180 feet, veering to the right and stopped at the right edge of the runway and ignited. The pilot was able to escape the aircraft prior to it being destroyed by fire.
