What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) I interviewed lee ann james the pilot of N30JS. She stated that while enroute to Nashville she had experienced electrical problems with the aircraft, this was determined by seeing the display on the GPS flickering. She had also lost radio communication and had set the transponder to a 7600 code. When she lowered the landing gear all remaining electrical power was lost, she said that there was no green lights available to indicate that the landing gear was down and locked, but that it felt like the landing gear was down. She continued the approach and landed the aircraft. She stated that she did not experience any crosswind when landing. After touchdown the left main landing gear collapsed and the aircraft came to a stop. I asked if she had used any emergency procedures, she stated she was not familiar with the emergency procedures for this aircraft, but would become familiar with them. I asked if she had experienced any prior electrical problems and she said that for the last two flights the aircraft had to be jumped off to start the aircraft. She said she had questioned the mechanics at the union city airport, her local base of operation, and was told the starting problem was probably due to the change in the weather.
