From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During approach to land on runway 21 at Phoenix Regional Airport (A39), pilot stated encountering gusty crosswind conditions and performed a go-around. On second approach, pilot stated again encountering gusty crosswind conditions but elected to continue approach. After crossing trees at the north end of runway, pilot allowed aircraft to drift over median to the left of the runway and touch down on plowed median. Impact marks indicate aircraft bounced and nose wheel broke off on second landing. Aircraft slid approximately 120 feet and stopped in median between runway 21 and the east parallel. Aircraft sustained damage to belly, left wing tip, right wing tip and right rudder. Pilot was not injured. Causal factors have not yet been identified.
