From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On approach to runway 17 at the Marion Airport (C17), the pilot started to drift left (east) of the runway centerline. The pilot initiated a go around and made a second attempt to land. On the second approach, the pilot again noticed that he was drifting east of the runway centerline. At this time, he tried to initiate another go around. At the instant he applied full power, he raised the nose of the aircraft and the aircraft stalled. The right wing came over the top to approximately 90 degrees, and then entered into a spin to the left. The pilot attempted to regain control but struck the roof of a row of hangars. The aircraft continued on in an easterly direction and impacted another hangar.
