From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During normal approach to land pilot attempted to extend gear normally, however, pilot did not get gear down indication. Pilot reported that landing gear motor circuit breaker popped and that manual gear extension handle did not appear to be in the full down position. Pilot notified the Lake City tower that he was experiencing gear problems. Pilot attempted to cycle gear several additional times unsuccessfully. Pilot executed several fly-bys to ascertain position of gear from the tower and from a u.s forestry service aircraft whom both verified gear was not down. Pilot brought gear up and then attempted to extend gear to the down and locked position with the manual gear handle without success. Pilot attempted a normal landing when gear collapsed upon touchdown. Cause of gear extension failure under investigation.
