From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Pilot selected gear down on 5 mile final for runway 28 at apa. Said he did not receive the green light indication for down and locked condition so flipped the gear switch and the indication then was green/down and locked. In the flare he heard a horn which he thought was the stall horn due to the slow landing speed. However, in retrospect, what he heard was the gear horn. The aircraft settled onto the runway in a gear up condition with damage to the props, undercarriage skin and flaps.
