From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot landed on runway 32 at Springfield/branson regional airport (sgf). After landing, the right main tire went flat. The pilot was able to taxi the airplane onto taxiway bravo, but could not cross the hold line to completely exit the runway. The runway was closed for approximately 1 hour while the airplane was being moved to aviation enterprises, inc., at sgf. Personnel from aviation enterprises reported that scuff marks on the tire indicated that the pilot may have used excessive braking during landing causing the flat tire. The pilot stated that he landed with a strong left crosswind and may have inadvertently depressed the right brake while holding right rudder during the landing. The wind was reported to be from 280 degrees at 18 knots gusting to 27 knots. The pilot was counseled by inspector privacy data omitted on crosswind landings and use of brakes.
