From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

(-23) April O7, 2006, N4316T a Piper PA-28-140, crashed just off the end of the runway at gaston's resort at Lakeview, AR. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and no flight plan had been filed. Pilot was airlifted to st. john's hospital in Missouri and both passengers were transported to baxter county hospital by ambulance. Witnesses stated that the aircraft appeared to have difficulty lifting off and that when it did become airborne the wings were rocking heavily. The aircraft was unable to gain altitude and contacted a tree several hundred yards past the end of the runway. As a result of the impact the right wing remained in the tree and the fuselage and left wing unattached struck the ground, all three occupants were able to evacuate the aircraft.
