What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Aircraft departed runway 18 at Aurora airport (arr), Aurora, IL. Pilot stated that he lost control of the aircraft prior to rotation. He explained that the runway was short and added back pressure to take weight off the nosewheel. It is possible that the right brake did not hold the aircraft along the centerline and coupled with the left turning tendency caused aircraft to veer left. The aircraft subsequently skidded into grass area southeast of runway 18 and runway 27 intersection.
