From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Investigation revealed: rt main gear down on retraction after t/o. light went red and stayed red until gear handle placed down again. Crew recycled gear with same result. Acft landed @ oak without incident. Crew debrief revealed that the rt MLG gree light illuminated immediately both times the gear selector was placed back in the "down" position. Apparently, the rt MLG never moved from the down and locked position. Mx turned on hyd pwr & during t/s, the rt MLG downlock cylinder was noisy & warm (lt MLG no noise and cool). Mx suspected rt main downlock cylinder bypassing. Mx jaced acft & accomplished LH and RH m/g swing i/a/w mm 32-10-00-5. LH ops and indications normal; mx confirmed RH no unlock or motion; door sequencing appeared normal. Mx replaced RH m/g downlock cylinder. Component failed; no concerns identified.
