From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft landed on runway 12, the runway was contaminated with standing water and braking action was nil. A witness stated that as the aircraft passed the maintenance hangar (approx. 2/3 down the runway) the wheels were locked and the aircraft was hydroplaning. The aircraft proceeded onto the grass stopway and stopped when it hit the chain-link fance and a short 8" wooden pole (117 feet). The aircraft rotated approx. 90 degrees when the left wing hit the pole (28" from the wingtip) as a result the landing gear folded and the aircraft structure received substantial damage.
