From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) While flying from 1B9 to sfm the pilot reported a loss of oil pressure as he entered psm air space. Radioing the psm ATC he reported he had a problem and would try to make the psm airport which was 3 to 4 miles away. Realizing he would not make the airport he chose the greenland golf course fairway for an emergency landing. There were no injuries or aircraft damage except for the apparent engine failure evident by the oil dripping from the cowling.
