From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On September 12, 2007 the pilot of a Boeing E75 stearman N68462, landed at the Gordon NE airport on runway 29. With a gusty crosswind of 10 knots off his left side, he landed and proceeded to use left and right rudder to increase his forward visibility. However the aircraft speed was still excessive, and he applied power to attempt a go around. This exacerbated the loss of directional control and caused the aircraft to ground loop, resulting in substantial damage to the lower right wing.
