From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On approach to mfr, the pilot got a fire indication on the right engine. All engine parameters remained normal, however the pilot conducted an in-flight shut down and fired off the engine bottle. The mfr ground emergency crews were rolled. Mx subcontractor (Medford jet center) inspected engine and found no evidence of fire. However it was noted that the fire annunciator remained lit. Troubleshot fire indication system and found top detector bad, causing false warning repeatedly on ground. Ameriflight pdx mx to replace fire detector in mfr, MEL engine fire bottle and bring airplane back to pdx.
