From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Upon attempted landing on runway 4R, the aircraft bounded on both main gears and went airborne in a nose up attitude. The right wing hit the runway causing damage to the right hand wing tip and main spar, approximately 2 feet from the wing tip. The aircraft rolled to the left, causing the left hand main landing gear to shear off upon contact with the runway, and struck the left hand stabilator leading edge. The nose landing gear collapsed, causing the three bladed propeller tips to bend upon striking the runway. The aircraft skidded on the left wing tip, collapsed nose landing gear and the right main landing gear, coming to a stop approximately 100 feet south of taxiway f on runway 4R. There are wrinkles on the right hand fuselage side skin, below and aft of the engine firewall and on the right hand fuselage side skin, forward of the stabilator.
