From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot observed that upon approach for landing that the aircraft only indicated the NLG extending. He proceeded to use the hand-pump for the emergency extension of the mlgs. The right MLG did extend, however the left MLG would not. The pilot proceeded to declare an emergency with airport and landed on the NLG and right MLG with the left MLG collapsing on impact. There was evidence of red hydraulic fluid on the trailing edge of left wing, under the left wing and all over the left wheel well area. Upon investigation it appeared the left MLG actuator had blown a seal internally and hydraulic fluid leaked out thus causing the failure of the landing gear extension process.
