From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) While conducting an end-of-course test for a delta connection academy part 141 flight instructor certification course, check instructor privacy data omitted directed end-of course applicant privacy data omitted to perform a short field landing on runway 23 at Deland municipal airport, Deland, FL. Upon touchdown, check instructor privacy data omitted departed from his role as an evaluator and became a crewmember as he aettmpted to raise the flaps for privacy data omitted. Instead of operating the flaps with the flap handle located between the front seats of the aircraft, privacy data omitted placed the gear selector switch in the up position, causing the nose and right main landing gear to retract while the airplane was in the roll-out phase of the landing. The aircraft came to rest off the right side of the ruwnay with damage to the prop, nose gear doors, cowling, right wing tip, right wing outboard lower skin, and aircraft step.
