From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
During flight, the r/h main landing gear failed to extend; however, the l/h landing extended normally. After several attempts to cycle the gear, a landing was made with the gear in the up position. Post accident investigation determined that the (p/n 1281001-3) actuator body had cracked locking the r/h gear in the retracted position. Note: special airworthiness information bulletin no. CE-02-10 and NTSB safety recommendation A-99-37 and -38 further address this service difficulty.
