From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot privacy data omitted, was cleared for the option on runway 3L at Spokane Felts Field (sff). He was flying his 1930 laird LC-1B-300, N10402. He stated he got a gust of wind that raised the right wing. He departed the runway nearly 2000 feet down the runway. The right horizontal stabilizer contracted a runway light and poked a hole in the fabric of the stabilizer. The aircraft ground looped near mid field contacting the left wingtip and aileron.
