From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot stated that he completed his checklist and was cleared to land. He said that he verified that the gear showed green but the sun was bright on the panel and the gear light may have looked like it was illuminated. There was no audio warning when the power was reduced. After touchdown the gear collapsed. It was found that the landing gear drive motor had tripped the circuit breaker. His passenger also stated that the gear was down before landing and collapsed after landing. He said that the tower controller told him that he verified that the gear was down before landing.
