From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot started her takeoff roll on runway 13 at lake hood strip. The wind was gusty from 220 degrees. At the start of the takeoff roll a gust caught her and she slid into a runway light causing a 1/2 inch minor dent in her ski. The PIC taxied clear of the runway and contacted the tower and reported the incident. She also contacted flight service and cancelled her flight plan. The PIC waited for the winds to subside before departing. The runway conditions at the time was patchy snow on top of ice and slippery.
