From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that he was doing the ILS to runway 13 at krdg. Weather was IFR with half a mile visibility in snow (and confirmed by krdg ASOS). The pilot stated that there was dry snow on the runway. The runway was plowed approximatey 50 feet wide with deeper snow to about 100 feet wide. Pilot stated that the approach (with 3 green lights)and landing was normal and the nose gear was operating normally on landing touch down. Immediately after touchdown the nosewheel collapsed because aircraft landed off center, which was obscured, in deeper snow. Aircraft remained on the runway and was towed off back to the hangar.

As the FAA filed it
