From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On January 26, 2011 a Cessna 210 landed on runway 35 at Crestview, FL, at approximately 1210 hrs . Weather at the time of the accident as reported by ASOS was VMC with winds at 310, gusts 11-15 knots. Upon rollout the pilot's right main gear tire became flat and exited the runway to the right. The pilot struck an airport runway 2000 foot sign in the grass before coming to a stop. The right tire went flat due to a hole worn in the center of the tire which is consistent with excessive braking. Tire marks on the runway after touchdown indicate the main gear tires braking evenly. The tire marks on the right wheel started to widen until a heavier black mark that matches the rim dimensions appears on the runway (left side remained the same size). The aircraft exited the runway to the right with the throttle set approximately 2 inches out of the dash. The aircraft was intact with wings, ailerons, horizontal stab, elevators, vertical fin, rudder and engine. The aircraft was resting on the right wing tip and right horizontal due to the right gear being folded to the rear. The right brake was checked by a local IA with no defects found.

As the FAA filed it
