From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This accident was not reported to this FSDO office. During an inspection of this flight school maintenance facility, this aircraft was discovered in the rear of the hangar with a damaged right wing. The right engine was gone from the right wing. As I started asking questions I found out what had happened. Pilot and instructor where taxiing to active runway. Both where inattentive while taxiing and the aircraft proceeded to leave the taxiway to the right and go down an embankment. The aircraft started to slide sideways and the right gear link broke and the right gear collapsed. The right wing main spar was bent. The right prop struck the ground and was damaged.
