From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During approach to jqf the landing gear was selected down. A loud pop was heard when the gear started down. The main gear had green lights and the nose did not. Verified nose gear light bulb for operation. Recycled gear four times and then flew past the tower at jqf. The tower reported to the pilot the nose gear was trailing at a 45 degree angle and the mains appeared to be down. A soft field landing was executed and during roll out the nose gear folded and the aircraft came to a stop without incident. No injuries were incurred by the 3 POB. The nose gear was pulled down to the locked position and the aircraft was towed off runway per NTSB inspector alleyne due to high air traffic caused by a local sporting event.
