From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

As the tug was approaching the aircraft the baggage cart became disconnected from the tug. The drive pulled the emergency brake handle and jumped out of the tug to stop the baggage cart. The baggage cart contacted the right wing trailing edge of N438AW and broke a static wick on the right aileron and made a small dent in the wing trailing edge. The tug driver then turned around to see that the tug had struck the left winglet of N452AW. Us airways conducted internal investigation. Suspended tug drive pending results of drug test. Drug test results were negative. Tug driver received remedial training in connecting baggage cart and not to exit a moving vehicle.
